JOSHUA HORTON / BEHIND SOUTHWEST SONY
Finding perspective
in the outdoors.
I’m Joshua, the photographer behind Southwest Sony. My love for the outdoors is at the heart of my work. From open desert and weathered sandstone to quiet creeks and the wildlife that calls these places home, nature gives me a reason to explore, slow down, and look a little closer.
THE PERSPECTIVE
A deeper appreciation.
A closer look.
Living with health issues has put that love into perspective. It has reminded me how much it means to spend time outside, and how easy it can be to take that freedom for granted. The chance to stand in a beautiful place, watch the light change, and be present in that moment carries a different weight now.
Photography is also the legacy I hope to leave behind. A photograph can live on long after the person who made it. When I’m gone, I hope these images will continue to inspire others to step outside, follow their curiosity, and experience the places that have meant so much to me.
